Workplace Harassment and Violence Prevention Learning Path

Everyone deserves a workplace free from harassment and violence. That is why the Government of Canada has taken action through Bill C-65, the federal anti-harassment and violence legislation, to help keep workers in federally regulated workplaces, including the most vulnerable, safe.

The Workplace Harassment and Violence Prevention online self-paced courses, case studies and complementary learning resources were designed by the Canada School of Public Service of in support of the harassment and violence prevention amendments to Part II of the Canada Labour Code, and new Work Place Harassment and Violence Prevention Regulations.

Courses

Preventing Harassment and Violence in the Workplace for Employees (WMT101)
This online self-paced course provides an overview of the regulations that serve to prevent and resolve incidents of workplace harassment and violence in the federal public service.
Preventing Harassment and Violence in the Workplace for Managers and Health and Safety Committees (WMT102)
This online self-paced course clarifies the responsibilities of the employer and provides information for managers and supervisors at all levels, and for health and safety committee members and representatives, on how to prevent and resolve workplace harassment and violence.
Preventing Harassment and Violence in the Workplace for Designated Recipients (WMT103)
This online self-paced course explains the role of designated recipients when conducting the resolution process for incidents of harassment and violence under the Canada Labour Code, Part II, and the Work Place Harassment and Violence Prevention Regulations.
Note: Courses WMT101, WMT102 and WMT103 may be considered mandatory training in some departments. Please contact your mandatory training coordinator to inquire about your obligations to undertake this training.
